Have you ever brought home the perfect puppy, I mean the puppy that has all the best breeding background, perfect health and the best temperament a dog owner could ever want? And then it hits you, that this dog is not working out in my home or with my family members. This is the dog that you, yourself have already sunk your heart into, but see that there is an issue...you don’t want to see it as a problem.
Now you have owned other dogs and have what you think are sufficient skills to overcome these issues. The days roll by and you find this dog is not what you thought. You have brought in a dog that uses your couch as a banking turn like a Nascar racer. She jumps on everyone that enters your home. She doesn’t listen to simple commands, like sit or down. You have all but given up. You express your concerns to everyone you know in the “dog world” and can't seem to get help. You have all but given up.
This is my story. I did all the background checks and found what I thought was going to be the perfect addition to my family, and it just wasn’t so... until I found Hopey Bissett of Heaven's Hills. I spoke with Hopey and told her what I was experiencing with my Harley, a 8 month old yellow lab. Hopey gave me hope and told me to bring Harley to her. I did.
Hopey evaluated Harley and saw that Harley was not the high drive dog I once thought she was. Harley just needed to learn some house manners. I had to leave my Harley with Hopey. That was tough, but I knew that everything would be alright. Now let me tell you, Harley lived in Hopey’s home along with her other dogs. She was not kept in a kennel and was only crated at night for sleep. Hopey is not loud or forceful with animals, she is calm, and I think she has a special wave length with dogs. She understands them and they have a respect for her. I went to visit with Harley and it moved me. The improvement I saw was a miracle. I couldn’t believe the difference. I joked with Hopey and called her the “dog whisperer“. After two weeks of being with Hopey, my Harley came home and now she is a part of the family; not a issue or a problem. I continue to work with her and keep in touch with Hopey. Hopey is a knowledgeable and kind hearted person. She will bless your dog and knowing her will bless your life.
